City Offers Domestic Partnership Registry

At the November 14 council meeting, Shorewood City Council passed an ordinance offering a Domestic Partnership Registry for residents in the City of Shorewood. The ordinance is designed to benefit couples for which proof of domestic partnership is needed for legal or insurance reasons. You may view the meeting in which discussion on the ordinance took place beginning Thursday, November 17. Registration will open at city hall during regular business hours.

You may complete and download the application online, but it must be submitted in person to City Hall during regular business hours.

If the Domestic Partnership is terminated or if the original partnership is ammended, a termination or ammendment application must be filed with the city.
