The City Staff, under the direction of the City Administrator carries out Council directions and provides day-to-day City services.

The City of Shorewood has six parks totaling approximately 100 acres. Our parks offer picnic areas, playground equipment, tennis courts, ball fields, basketball courts, volleyball courts, a skate park, walking trails and ice skating rinks. Several park programs are offered throughout the year.

Park and Recreation Coordinator

The Engineering Department is responsible for overseeing the planning, design and construction of all public streets and utility projects, including right-of way acquisition, and maintains records on all public improvements that have been made within the city.

Engineering Department

The City of Shorewood runs elections during city election years. These elections include federal, state, school board, and local government offices. In years when there is only a school district election the election is run by the district and voting locations may change.

Elections Administrator

The Finance Department is responsible for maintaining the functions of payroll, accounts payable, utility billing, purchasing, investing City funds, and managing other City assets as requested by the City Council.

The Building Inspector is responsible for the application and enforcement of the building code and related ordinances regulating construction, alterations and the use of buildings within the City of Shorewood.

The Planning Department reviews land use plans for consistency with city plans, land use regulations and applicable state regulations. They conduct long-range planning for the future growth of the City. They also administer land use control ordinances and zoning enforcement.

The Shorewood Public Works Department manages the planning,design, construction, operation and maintenance of all city streets, the water and sewer systems, storm sewers as well as the maintenance of all city parks and city-owned equipment.
